Grateful Blog: Day 39: It was a bit of cold rainy day here. One of those early February ‘I just want to get through today’ types of days. A proverbial Wednesday–more of the same as it were. So coming home, exhausted, not wanting to cook, I found some homemade leftover navy bean and ham soup that Diane made the other night. You know, some days, it’s really just the little things that count. Like on cold, rainy Wednesdays in February. A hot bowl of homemade navy bean and ham soup is as close to perfect as perfect gets. It hits the spot and then some.
